What an inspiring story, Keith! Years ago I, too, had to make a decision: finish my dissertation or finish my first African cookbook. I decided that if God wanted that cookbook done, He'd make it happen. I defaulted on my contract, but my editor gave me extra time to finish A Good Soup Attracts Chairs the year after I completed my doctoral program.
